Group Sound Baths

People have been using sound for thousands of years to improve health and wellbeing. Although some people prefer individual sound baths that are tailored to their needs, others enjoy the group experience.

A sound bath will be conducted using gongs, crystal bowls, and a variety of therapeutic percussion instruments. Each sound bath is designed with a particular intention.

And relax: Sound BathsTake time for yourself and allow the sound to help you relax and recharge

These sound baths are designed to help you access states of deep relaxation, to reset your nervous system to reduce stress and anxiety, leaving you calmer, more relaxed, and more resilient.

Releasing resistance: Gong BathsRelease resistance and blocks that are holding you back and restore balance and flow

These sound baths are designed for those who want to go deeper and use the power of sound to release resistance and restore flow and balance in life. The session will include personal reflection to identify what is holding you back, to understand how that manifests in the mind, body, and soul, before laying back and allowing the sound to help you explore it further, to find new insights and new understanding, and to release what no longer serves you.

Everyone experiences the sound bath differently, and it can feel different each time you attend one. There is no right or wrong, you will experience what you need. Most commonly you will drift into a space of deep relaxation, you may fall asleep for some of the time, you may feel that you travel with the sounds, you may even see visions, perhaps colours. Often it is during these periods of deep relaxation that you find insight into problems, or have ‘a-ha’ moments that bring new understanding and clarity. Most importantly at the end, you can feel less stressed and re-energised. People also report having the best night’s sleep after a sound bath.

What to bring to a sound bath:

  • Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
  • If you wish to lay down, bring a mat, bolster, pillow, and blanket
  • If you wish to sit for the session, bring a blanket and cushion
  • An eye mask (optional)
  • A water bottle to hydrate after the session
  • A journal (optional)

It is all about making yourself comfortable, so bring what you need.

For sound baths held at my room upstairs at Stylique in Somerton, there are zero-gravity reclining chairs for your comfort. Group sizes are limited to 5, so book early.
